The Woodcrafters Carving Axe has been meticulously designed for spooncarving and woodcraft by Alex Finberg & the Woodcrafters Team. Forged in Ukraine to the highest quality standards

Alex: "I have always wanted an all round carving axe which had enough weight behind it for efficient carving, whilst having a long edge profile for slicing cuts, and enough curvature to enable versatile shaping of spoon billets and blanks. I am proud to say this is tool has been worth the wait after the long hours of designing and prototyping we have arrived at an axe I can stand behind as an heirloom tool"

The head is forge welded the old way from new stock 52100 high-carbon steel, hardened to 59-60 HRC for excellent edge retention and given a razor sharp flat over hollow grind
