A restored vintage Rhineland pattern axe, maker unknown, with a 12" Elm handle and razor sharp convex bevel 

This is a fantastic carving axe, restored to a high standard perfect for spoon carving, bowl carving and green woodwork. Rhineland pattern axes are fantastic carving axes, this one is well balanced and a good weight. The head is medium to light at 500 grams, with a nice edge profile and obtuse convex bevel razor sharp and ready to carve.
