Woodcrafters Carving Axe 
The Woodcrafters Carving Axe has been meticulously designed for spooncarving and woodcraft by Alex Finberg & the Woodcrafters Team. Forged in Ukraine to the highest quality standards, hafted with axe and fitted with a 5mm veg tanned leather sheath. 

Alex: "I have always wanted an all round carving axe which had enough weight behind it for efficient carving, whilst having a long edge profile for slicing cuts, and enough curvature to enable versatile shaping of spoon billets and blanks. I am proud to say this is tool has been worth the wait after the long hours of designing and prototyping we have arrived at an axe I can stand behind as an heirloom tool"

The head is hand-forged from new stock 52100 high-carbon steel, with a flat over hollow grind and hafted with a smooth ash haft, shaped to swing comfortably in the hand through a long session at the block. It arrives razor sharp and ready to use with a 5mm veg tanned leather sheath

• Handle — Ash, chosen for its durability, light weight, and shock absorption. Finished with linseed oil for a secure, comfortable grip, suited to both right- and left-handed carvers
• Sheath — 5mm Leather sheath included for safe storage and transport.
