✨ Experience the full journey from Log to Bowl!

Experience the joy of carving your own unique wooden bowl in this hands-on workshop with expert woodsman Alex Finberg. Using green wood, you’ll learn to shape a freshly felled log into a beautiful and functional bowl, embracing the natural process of hand tool carving.

We will be using gouges, mallets and edge tools to create a bowl that’s perfect for serving or display. This 2 day workshop is the perfect introduction to bowl carving and lends itself well to making smaller vessels. No prior woodworking experience is needed, making this workshop ideal for beginners, but it also offers an exciting challenge for intermediate and advanced wood carvers!

We'll start with green wood, learning to safely split logs before using axes, knives, and hook tools to create stunning cooking and eating spoons. Alex will guide you through essential techniques, including:

✅ Safe Axe, Gouge & Mallet carving techniques
✅ Tree ID, Wood & Tool Selection,
✅ Everyone leaves with a handcarved bowl of their own making and the skills & confidence to keep on carving!

"The 2 day is a real deep dive, it allows us to take a log of green wood to a finished bowl, with ample time to enjoy the beautiful surrounds and deeply engrossing journey of using traditional hand tools from log to bowl " - Alex
