Marttini 'Kierinki' Knife 
This handsome knife pays homage to the Finnish knife tradition and Janne Marttiini, founder of the Marttiini knife factory. Named after his home village, it features a forged 1.2235 / 80CrV2 carbon steel blade (HRC 59.5) and a handle crafted from alternating heat-treated birch and curly birch. The knife is housed in an embossed leather sheath, embodying the craftsmanship and Finnish heritage of nearly 100 years of tool making. 

The knife has a total length of 23cm, and a long 11cm 'scandi' ground blade with a robust heat treat suitable for use an all round bushcraft and carving knife. Its edge profile lends itself to larger projects and bushcraft carving. 

Marttini Knives: A Story of Arctic Evolution 
In 1928, blacksmith Janne Marttiini founded a knife factory in Rovaniemi, Finnish Lapland, driven by the need to create high-quality utility knives for harsh Arctic conditions. Marttiini crafted knives using natural materials like leather, curly birch, and reindeer antler, paired with ultra-sharp blades made from the finest steel. His creations quickly proved to be the perfect tools for tough environments, blending beauty with exceptional functionality. Today, Marttiini knives continue to embody generations of craftsmanship and modern technology, representing the strength and beauty of the far North.

Always dry the blade carefully after use and oil the blade with linseed oil or camelia oil on a regular basis. This will ensure your knife will serve you loyally from one year to the next.
