Stropping Compound 
Dialux are renowned as one of the best makers of polishing abrasives and stropping compounds, their compounds were initially developed for use in the jewellery industry and have stood the test of time to be favoured by professionals maintaining and sharpening edge tools. 

Dialux compounds come in a range of colours, having consulted the manufacturer, I've been recommended Green for Fine Polishing and Grey for coarser polishing. For many years I got by with just green but can recommend both a coarse and fine compound for removing large burrs and bringing a mirror polish to your edge 

Application
Dialux compounds can be applied to leather or MDF strops, gently warm the compound with a heat source and then apply for the smoothest application
