Spoon Carving Hook Knife (Mora 164)
The newest 'Mora 164' has been designed with spoon carving in mind. This is the Right Handed version, with a curved one sided edge for carving out the bowl of a spoon. (I never recommend a double edged hook knife for spoon carving!)

The back of the knife is rounded which gives you the option to use your left hand to push the back of the blade, giving enhanced control with each cut.

The blade has a smaller curve than the other Mora hooked knives, and a blunt tip to minimalize injury. The blade is made from stainless steel and comes razor sharp out of the box.

The spindle shaped handle made of oiled birch wood is slightly larger for a proper grip. The wood also gives it a natural feeling and also gives you the possibility to form the handle for optimal shape.

This is a good entry level tool, which can be modified and improved by removing the secondary bevel from the back of the knife.

Tool Care
A blunt knife is an unsafe knife - keep edge tools sharp!
