Rippled Rays Spoon
A beautiful hand carved eating spoon, carved with a generous bowl from sycamore wood. The spoon has been finished with deep blue linseed oil paint, a natural food safe paint which allows the Medullary rays in the wood to shine through - it is really quite psychedelic! 

The spoon was finished with organic linseed oil 

Where Did My Spoon Grow?!
This spoon was carved from a Sycamore tree which grew on the Dartington Estate in Devon, UK. The tree was felled as part of a woodland management plan to thin out Sycamore and let other species less developed species thrive. 

Spoon Care:
This spoon is designed to be cooked with and well used - don't be afraid to use it on a daily basis! The only thing to avoid is putting it in the dishwasher, or leaving it to soak in the washing up bowl.

I always make sure my spoons are bone dry before putting them away in the drawer.

To give the spoon a new lease of life from time to time you can add a coat of Tung oil, flax oil, walnut oil (careful of nut allergies) or linseed oil, but this is not essential.
