Really looking forward to rounding off the summer at The Wild Circle with a weekend hand carving bowls!
We will take a journey into the ancient woodland by the River Camel, harvest our wood and spend the weekend hand carving wooden bowls with axes, gouges, mallets and hook knives.
We will focus on a range of techniques and skills from axe work, textured and smooth finishes with gouges, sharpening and tool maintenance and bowl design. You will have the opportunity to chose a range of shapes and designs from fruit bowls to dough bowls and table ware destined to become heirloom pieces!
The weekend will begin on Friday afternoon, allowing us to settle into the lovely range of accommodation from Yurts to bell tents and free camping in the woods, with nourishing cooked meals in the communal Yurt and a lovely collection of folk whom together will make the weekend a nourishing and inspiring way to bring in the Autumn.
